After installing Tiger on my dual G5 2.5GHz Mac, I noticed that both Serendipity Blackmagic and Megarip were running much faster. Checking the speed rating calculated by the software verified this. Under Tiger my machine rates 204 while under Panther it rated about 180. Processing a couple of jobs through Serendipity Blackmagic confirmed the speed boost.
A great thanks to all the Apple engineers for continuous improvements made to Mac OS X over the years.
