Pairing Pages with Creep in the Signature Group

If you have a signature that has creep then these cannot be paired automatically by selecting the group and hitting one of the pair pages buttons. The problem is that to be able to be paired the pages must belong to a group. To belong to a group the pages must be the same size and positionally in line with each other. This is the case with the signature below.

Signature-Group

The pages are the same size and group together. However the pairing of the pages is not allowed because of the creep. Once the pages are paired they then differ in size and therefore break the rules of being part of a group.

So in order to pair the pages you need to do the following.

1. Break the group by selecting the ungroup button.

2. Select the pages as pairs. In this example select both page 2 and page 13.

3. Group them together. You have the following.

4. You can then pair the two pages together. Select the “Pair Pages Horizontally” button.

5. Repeat for the other single pages. You end up with a paired signature as shown below.

Signature-Paired

6. Repeat for all other signatures.

You will notice that these cannot all be grouped together because pages 2 and 5 are different sizes to pages 1 and 6 due to the creep between the single pages.
