Intel Mac first run

Yesterday we succeeded in getting Serendipity Blackmagic and Megarip to run on Intel based Macs.  The next release will be version 3.2.01 and will include a Universal binary version for Mac OS X 10.3.9 and later. We are just finalising a few bug fixes and enhancements before letting version 3.2.01 out into the wild. Watch this space for more news.

Will we see the Universal binary version at IPEX ?

Does this mean people have to upgrade to at least OSX 10.3.9 ?

The version running at IPEX will be a universal binary but unfortunately there are no desktop based Macs available yet.

10.3.9 is the minimum version of Mac OS X that can run universal binaries, so yes customers would have to upgrade to at least 10.3.9. I doubt there are still customers out there running version 10.2 since Mac OS X 10.3 is much faster.
