A while back Bob Murphy bought one of those Apple 30 inch Cinema Displays and ever since has been toying with the idea of using it to replace hard copy proofs. In the last couple of versions we have added enhancements to Blackmagic’s softproofing module to facilitate this use and at long last Bob had one of our customers use it on the press instead of a hard copy proof. The 30 inch display is so large. that an 8 up imposition fully zoomed out looks almost as large as the real thing.

In the coming months we will be adding further enhancements to make this setup more common place.
