In version 3.2.01 of Blackmagic and version 4.2.01 of Megarip we introduced a user selectable density standard for any process that involved measurement of density. While implementing this change we also fixed a long standing idiosyncrasy of the DTP-41 driver that caused excessively high readings of yellow densities.
A side effect of this fix is that any pagesetups that were linearised using the DTP-41 and versions of Blackmagic / Megarip prior to 3.2.01/4.2.01 will not be linearised correctly using version 3.2.01/4.2.01 or later of Blackmagic / Megarip. To linearise these pagesetups please use a the client that shipped with version 3.2 / 4.2 of Blackmagic / Megarip. The client version is 1.2. Any new pagesetups that are created with these new version will not exhibit this problem.
UPDATE (2 Sep 2006) : One of our customers has reported that you can use the 1.2.01 client as long as you set the density standard to Status E. This ensures you get the same readings as with versions of the client prior to 1.2.01
